For the past 2+ years, I've been basically working with web applications using Python and the Django Web Framework. That changed two months ago. A Nevada-based company, PalominoDB, got in touch with me regarding working as a Python and MySQL developer for them. Seeing it as an opportunity to expand my skills, I gladly accepted the idea. Before I got in, I took an exam measuring my skills in Python and MySQL. I didn't think I'll pass the exam since I was a little confused with the instructions given and my recruiter didn't have enough technical knowledge to answer my queries.

Since I'm bored tonight, I spent some time writing a bash script for setting up pip, virtualenv, virtualenvwrapper and some packages that are needed by PIL. These are the packages I used since I develop web applications using Python and the Django Web Framework.

Today marks my last day as a part of Singaporean tech startup, Save 22. I've been working here since May 2012 and I can say that the company gave me the chance to grow as a software engineer, a member of a team and most importantly as a person.

Last December 17, 2012, I was invited by a friend of mine to be a resource speaker about the topic Web Application Engineering. During the lecture, I told them I will be launching my personal website/blog over the Christmas break and I promised them that the lecture will be my first entry.
